Everything Set for the First Racing Day at the 2026 Melges 24 European Championship in Tønsberg

From Barcelona in 1996 to Tønsberg in 2026, three decades of Melges 24 European Championship history came together on Sunday evening as the international Melges 24 family gathered at Tønsberg Seilforening for the Opening Ceremony of the championship’s 17th edition, to be hosted from 29 August to 4 September by Tønsberg Seilforening, in cooperation with the Norwegian Melges 24 Class Association and the International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA)

Imperia 12 Metre Grand Prix Worlds: Italy extends its lead as KZ-5 scores a double win

12 Metre Worlds: KZ-5 opens with two wins to lead in Imperia

Three races were sailed in winds building to 16-17 knots and a well-developed sea state on the opening day of the ITMA World Championship. Andrea Bianchedi’s KZ-5, representing the Yacht Club Italiano, posted two wins and a second place, while a consistent KZ-7 ended the day second overall
